OK, I guess it's time to start another build thread on this forum. This will be my 3rd 4runner. 2nd 3rd gen. I've had a 4rth gen too.
I bought it a few months ago and have been scared as hell to drive it. I've started replacing everything. Here's the list so far. This was a wrecked 4runner on the front left 1/4 panel, you can tell by the paint difference. I'm hoping to buff out the old paint to look like the new. If that doesn't work.... Hell... I'll just wrap it.
-Toytec Boss 3" lift
-Diff Drop
-Steering Rack- OEM
-Lower Ball Joints- OEM
-Aftermarket Upper Control Arms- (Can't remember which ones)
-Sonoran Steel Panhard Bar, adjustable
-285/75/16 General Grabber AT2
-American Racing 16" wheels
-Tundra 231 MM Brake Swap
-LED interior
-Alignment - 3 x already- I need another
-Recovery points, from someone on here.
-CB antenna mount
-New Plugs and Wires- OEM
-204,000 miles- bought with 200,000
-Rear Diff fluid
-Oil Change
-Transaxle Fluid Change
-Front Diff---- Can't get the Drain plug out.
I'm sure I'm leaving something out, I'll figure that out later.
Here's a few pics from Stock to now. I just spent the last 4 hours doing the lower ball joints, and Tundra Brake Swap. Ever so slight rubbing on the wheels, drove it for 10 minutes and now it's gone. I've been wanting to get off road, but I've been too nervous because of all of the issues I've had. I think I'm about ready now though.
