they are getting a 6 spd manual & auto.

I wonder if this is any indication the 4runner will get a 6 spd in the next gen also.

I imagine they will put the 6 spd auto in the 4Runner, at some point. What I would like is the 6 spd manual, and the V8 that's in the GX460.

It's a nice vehicle, but not what I'd be willing to spend money on.

Now if we could get the twin-turbo V8 Diesel 200 series Landcruiser, which is sold around the world, I'd be interested.

Yea, that test truck is chopped to shit, I wouldn't base it on anything haha. I know everyone wants a 3rd gen Taco, but personally I think the 2nd gens are probably one of the sexiest vehicles ever and definitely my #1 for trucks, I don't really see how you can improve the cosmetics so I'm interested in what it changes to.

I am interested in the 6 spd and the interior bling, since this will be tehe DD for the warden. she is more interested in the stereo and creature comforts more than anything.

she likes my heated/vent seats, stereo, push start in the 4runner, so we are hoping it shows up in the limited v6 taco.

If this is a test mule, let's hope they finally give us that factory fully boxed frame that has been missing for years. Why can't Toyota be like Nissan and market the same truck worldwide? The Navara is identical to the Frontier aside from the obvious diesel engine options that are highly unlikely to come stateside anytime soon. With GM and Fiat putting out small diesels this could potentially change. It seems like a good time for them to start using the same platform in NA considering the worldwide Hilux is very outdated as well. Let's hope they also finally give a 6-speed manual behind that V6 that isn't badly designed.
