No low beams with running lights with new bulbs....

I have an '06 and just swapped out the standard dual/low beam bulbs with sylvania ultra, but now the low beams don't come on with the running lights as they did with the (im guessing) the oem version.

Is this typical?

I've searched for this topic but I'm guessing I'm the only person experiencing this. Nothing else was done to the vehicle, just a bulb swap.

Did you use the correct replacement bulb? Does the new one have two visible filaments?

I didn't look at the filaments, i went with what the sylvania reference at the parts store listed, H11.

Sylvania shows a 9005 bulb for the high beam and an H11 bulb for low beam.

I'm confused when you say running lights. Do you mean just when you have your headlights turned on? If you have the right bulb but it isn't working, test the old bulb again to make sure that still works. If that works, they must be defective...
