No power to rearview mirror

I recently purchased a 2007 sports edition t4r. The rearview mirror is supposed to have an auto dimming feature and it also has a compass. However, neither feature is working. I press the power bottom on the mirror and it is not turning on. The power cord is plugged into the back of the mirror securely. Has anyone had this problem before?

I know this is from forever ago, but I just bought an '08 with the same issue. I'm reading through the fuses in the manual and I don't even see the fuse for the mirror. Any luck fixing it?

The mirror runs off of the switchable ACC 7.5A fuse lower left driver side kick panel. Also, check fuse #21 in the engine bay which gives power to the HomeLink wireless remote control (garage door opener) constant hot, courtesy lights, keyless entry etc... while the truck is off.

the power for this on mine is actually just a black wire that runs along the windshield edge barely under the headliner. If you pull your sunglasses holder down you can pull that whole top map light console out, then you can stick your fingers in the headliner there and feel it and pull it out. mine had plenty of spare wire to pull out, and it was spliced there. check the splice. It then runs down the apillar to the fuse box.

You can also check the plug to the mirror they are notorious for just disconnecting with road vibration fuse 21 in engine bay also controls dome lights its a 10amp and bottom left in the cab is the sta 7.5amp fuse are the ones to check could also be a faulty mirror it just died
