No throttle response after head job

Hey guys, i'm new here. I have a customers 92 4Runner and i just performed a complete head overhaul. Now that its all bolted back together it fires and and idles alright, but when I step on the throttle not a damn thing changes. Thought it might 've been the cable but when i manually open the butterfly no change in engine RPM. thats friggin weird. ANy ideas???
No check engine light on and it ran before the head job (or so he claims, but i'm startin to doubt his validity)

What engine is it? 22re or 3.0l. The only thing that comes to mind right away is an almost completely restricted exhaust system or valve timing that's way out of whack. I have never worked on an engine that wouldn't accelerate at all. Did you varify the butterfly is actualy opening in the throttle body?

Its the V6.
Funny thing about the restricted exhaust is, I dont even have the downpipe connected so that cant be it. I thought maybe since the rear O2 isnt getting any exhaust flow that might be it, but no, with the throttle open open the increase in airflow would raise the rpm.
Everything's plugged in, i have to reset the distributor a little but other than that it idles alright

Is the MAF sensor ok? Check to see if its in right.
