Hey all,
Im thinking of making a big decision and jumping from my Jeep into a 4Runner. My wife has a 06 Sequoia and I like the 4.7 in it, for heavy vehicle it moves it pretty well. I was thinking of getting a 4Runner with the V8. What features should I look for? Is there issues with certain years that would be good to know about? I have been researching these abit and Im kinda bummed that there is no factory locker option (other than center diff lock). I plan on doing mild and moderate offroading for the most part but will occasionally hit a difficult trail. I cant leave vehicles well enough alone so I know I will be adding a suspension lift and tires. How strong is the rear axle? Will it hold up to a V8 with over sized tires, most likely in the 285 range? Thanks for any and all advice in advance!
