NoScript 2.4 - No more ads on t4r

I don't like the ads blasting in my face on this site nor do others as previously discussed on another thread, so I downloaded an extension for Firefox called NoScript. It basically allows you to control the crap loaded from other sites on the pages you're visiting.

It allows JavaScript and Java for trusted sites which you deem appropriate. It's pretty intrusive at first, blocking a lot of functionality on some sites. But as soon as you get sites that you visit frequently dialed in, it's like internet without horrible ads tracking your every move. (they still read your cookies I'm sure, but you don't have to see it anymore). You can adjust individual sites separately, meaning I block something on this site, but don't necessarily have to block it on another. All are reversible if you find it blocks something you don't want it too. I like control.

Been using this for years on my windows boxes with great success. Combined with ad block plus and proxy foxy you can browse the Internet pretty much safe as possible.

I simply run Adblock on safari on my Mac and nothing else really with the same experience.

I've been using NoScript for awhile. I'm very annoyed at how many sites use scripts and how often I have to tell NoScript to back off. I'm trying out Ghostery now, and I may ditch NoScript entirely.

yeah let me know if it works out. Sometimes its a little restrictive, but I have yet to mess with more settings.

Yes, websites heavy reliance on script irks me. some just need to get their crap together...
