Thats exactly what my dad is looking for. If you don't mind and have time, could you look it over? He'd be a little leery about buying one in EBay without seeing it first, but if someone knowledgable looks, I think he'd be ok. Plus it's got a chrome license plate bezel!
 
Interesting, leather but no other limited options. FWIW my 01 with 116K has leather and has held up very well. I have been conditioning the leather to help ease the seams from stretching.
 
It looks really clean for the most part, but I do see some corrosion in the engine bay. I'd look very closely at the undercarriage for serious rust.
 
Nice,very nice! Just hope that the dealer who has it for sale doesn't run up his own bid.:naughty: That would never happen on ebay though. LOL

My '00 has leather but no other limited options either. You could get an SR5 with leather. And mine is actually in really good shape too with 201K miles on it.
 
Dang, that looks nice. A little wary about the low price, but there's still a lot of time left in the auction. Something's up with the passenger side running board (looks bent), but those could definitely come off. I'm not really in the market (and dibs have already been called, anyway), but I'm definitely interested to see what you think of it in person. Just please don't tear it down on the spot and paint the engine blue. :)

Looking at how clean that leather looks makes me wish I had leather. Is that the same stitching all the 3rd gens with leather have? The stitching looks different to me
 
FWIW, this truck has a very good score on the VIN checker that was posted on the forum recently: http://www.tecius.com/vin/

Just plug the VIN from the eBay listing into this site. It shows a score of 90. It does show 2 accidents without further detail.
 
Funny you said that. The right front looks painted to me. And that's only in the pics. I saw the contact for the car is Serge. No offense to anyone but there are about 100 Russian used car dealers in this area. A lot of them buy junk and ship it overseas. Thought this one might be good because it's for sale locally. I'll go look at it and post back.
 
And I'm nitpicking, but the badging on the rear looks off. The 4Runner badge, in particular, looks like it has been moved. I only have my 2000 for reference and don't know for sure where they were on a 2002. If it's clean, though, it would make a good truck for someone.
 
Just let me know man. Dads been looking at it all day, already got a "watch" on it on eBay. I more than trust your judgement on this kind of thing. it looks good from pics, but def know things can change in person. If you'd buy it, we definitely would.

I personally think this thread is an awesome testament to the awesomeness of T4R.org - how we're helping each other out, looking at 4Runners for others and helping our family/friends get in 4Runners as well...

That's a nice looking Runner. If your dad doesn't get it, Millerad1651, I hope it at least ends up with someone who cares for it (and who gets it a bit dirty sometimes, too).
 
Well, I hit the nail on the head with this one. 2727 Philmont Ave is an office building. No car lot. So I called Serge, told him who I was and I wanted to look at the 4Runner before bidding on it. In a thick Russian accent I was told no. What? I'd like to see it in person before I bid on it on eBay. "no, this is not possible. But it's very, very nice."
