I installed this OEM switch, and wired it per instructions. (The OEM switch has 4 wires but I spliced it onto a 3 wire harness.)
Note photo: The switch to the right was professionally installed and you will note it illuminates with the headlights on, the one I just put in does not.
IT DOES however, illuminate when i press the switch on. Ideally I want it to work when I turn on headlights on as well.

I vaguely remember a youtube video on how to resolve this but i cant find it.
