OEM Tundra Rotor Question...

Preferably salt belt people.
The center of these are painted black. Do they rust or should I throw a coat of paint on them before installation?

If they're already painted it shouldn't be a problem. My brembos were painted and only rust where I chipped the paint

You probably have premium grade rotors which have a painted coating to prevent rust. More of a personal preference than a necessity. You'd have to really neglect your ride to have the rotor freeze onto the hub. Another option is to brush on a bit of antiseize on the mating surfaces.

HaHa, not neglect but salty winters. My problem is not with the hub but with the dissimilar metals of the aluminum wheel spacers sticking to the steel rotors.
I ended up rattle canning them anyway. It was something to do while waiting for the caliper paint to dry.

Yes! I started using anti-seize last year & I no longer have to pry & bang the spacers off! Awesome product!
