Off Grid Engineering dual battery cabling lengths?

Love the OGE kit, but I just can't bring myself to spend $850 for it. I am pretty handy at making cabling, soldering, terminating, etc. Does anyone happen to know the lengths of the cables so I could essentially recreate the system? Not ready to buy everything yet, but I figured I could start getting the cabling in order. I'll have to start looking at options for trays as well.

It is a nice kit, but it is expensive. Big money for those trays, over engineered but the bling factor is there.

I made my own system... Cabling was the last thing that I did after everything was mounted in place.

I basically bought a roll of 4ga welding cable and cut-to-length at home... laid it all in there, and then terminated the ends with a crimped lugs, heat shrink, and loom.

Things started to move around in my own design... I think it would have been a mistake to start with trying to get the cables squared away since something like an ACR location/orientation change or a battery decision could change a location or flip the terminals.

The other issue I ran into with pre-made cables was that the lugs / terminals don't always lay right with the natural bends and you end up with an end under tension. You could easily eliminate that making them at home after you get the components installed.

All very good points. What tray did you end up using?
 
I agree with Bumbo. Get your components mounted, and cut/terminate your own cables. Depending on how you mount everything will determine the length of your cables. I bought two rolls of 4ga wire in red and black. In hindsight I could have just bought one roll and wire loomed the two colors.
