Hi neighbor! There really aren't any trails in temecula. Before all these homes were built it was awesome out here, there were trails everywhere. Don't know if your looking for a challenging trail but if you are you basically need to go to big bear for that. But the forest roads near the ortega( search south main divide road) and forest roads In And around the San jacinto mountains are fun and very scenic( search bee canyon truck trail) . If you want someone to join you I can show you around spots mentioned.

Oh and check the so cal sections of the board, there are usually some type of trail run or meet and greet going on
I like this, I can tell this used to be jeep an buggy country but then people happened. I am from Colorado but here by default(marines) and id love to get some dirt on the tires. Every now and then I drive over Ortega highway towards the ocean and theres some OHV signs up there, maybe we could give those trail a run sometime if yall are down?

I did Deer Springs over the weekend. It's not Temecula but its a good trail lthats not too far away.
I did Bee Canyon to Pine Cove this past weekend with my family. It's pretty easy and in great shape (made it up in 2WD). North Fork San Jac still has water too. My kids were able to get out and play around for a bit.
The OHV area mentioned above is decent just have to watch out for the quads and bikes!
N Main divide is another easy fire road to the top of Santiago Peak. Great view on a clear day.
There are some decent easy trails within about 30-45 min, depending on where you live.

Reviving this thread from the dead (kind of) to see if anyone knows of local SoCal trails I can hit with a bone stock 2004 T4R 4x4? I'm running 265 Bridgestone Dueler H/Ts.
I just want a simple dirt road or trail to find a little adventure and get into the middle of nowhere with my dog. I'm located in the Pasadena area.

Man there are all sorts of trails out there you can run. I lived in Temecula for some time and would run Deer Springs all the time. I also loved Palomar Mt also. It is not to far and it is about 6k feet up. Take a trip to the observatory up there the kids family will love it if you have that to tend with. If you want take the back way up off 79. That is a great trail up the back side of the Mt.
