I know the trails I ride sometimes intersect with the same trails OHV drive on.

I am going this weekend to Hurkey Creek/Idlwydle in California to hopefully use the 4runner and my mountain bike.

Anyone do this often?

Was somehow hoping to get this a thread of pictures of our bikes and 4runner...hahah

My ride last week, trail near my house:

Your in Fullerton?! I'm in Placentia .. where is that trail exactly?

Fullerton Loop is about 12 miles round trip throughout Fullerton and Anahiem.

Most folks start off at the Fullerton Courthouse. You can do a complete loop with some guidance as the trails are not marked in about 1.5-2.5 hours.

I am sure if you google it there are some maps. It is a great beginner to moderate trail. Nothing too crazy for DH, some small single track and techy spots. Fun nonetheless, I ride mostly on the this trail at night.

This is from my trip to Moab last week. Visible is my buddy's carbon Enduro, my Nomad is on the other side.

This is a Thule rack that snaps into the roof rails and works very well even with four trays. I have to use a step-stool that slips over the rear wheels to get the bikes up there.

As much as I love this rack, I never wheel with the bikes on there. I don't think the factory rails or Thule carriers are strong enough to deal with the side-to-side motion when rolling over trail obstacles.

Couple more changes, and we will have matching Runners!!

Nice ride, both the truck and the bike

Here's my stuff. Not much for vertical around here, so it's mostly XC for me. We do have a lot of great trails in the area, thankfully!

Heading to Copper Harbor (northern tip of the U.P. of Michigan) in a few weeks. Anyone been there?

and its good to be back on the boards :)

and as for the bike rack, if you ride enough, spend the money. My bikes are all a lot of fun, but the ease of being able to transport them, lock them up, and take them anywhere I could want has made them all the better. my thule t2 rack is awesome and im buying the rack extension for sure.

Bullet, just curious why you chose the allex frame with all the top notch equipment? I prefer the carbon frame, but I am only 3 years into road biking, grew up mtn biking. I went with the Tarmac, just because it fit my body better than the Roubaix.....

Well if you look at my first picture, I had a trek 2300 composite frame but it was to large for me, so the Allez was my first frame that was actually my size. Second, I was able to get it off of specialized blemish list on their dealers website for $550 out the door and I already had my full gruppo from the trek. So mainly at the time it was just a cost thing.

Currently I work at my local shop as well so now I get a sweet discount and a Tarmac frame is most likely in my future, but my Allez is down to 17 pounds and part of me wants to keep it and get it to about 16 ponds or less just so I can say I have an aluminum frame bike that weighs the same as most carbon.

As for the feel, it's not as stiff as a good carbon frame but I get a lot of feeback from the road on it, and coming from a mountain bike background it's good because it always forces me to pick the smoothest line even on pavement

My 4Runner and my other ride Trek 1200 Aluminum.

And what happens when you push yourself too hard after being of the bike for a few months!

.

Ended up riding another 3 miles or so back to my 4Runner.
