I got tired of looking for a used one, dropped $625 at dealer for all of it.
Prices in my area $300 range for used limited availability.

I've never seen a good snort-hood in the pick-and-pull junkyards around here. Most of the 4Runners that end up in the junkyard were hit hard, most often in the front, so undamaged hoods are mildly rare there, to begin with. Then the rarity of the scooped hod on top of that? You're down to tiny odds.
I did find one with a good scoop insert on it once, and snagged that (the hood itself was fairly well mangled). For whatever reason, those inserts seem to cost more than the hoods themselves do, not available aftermarket (that I know of), but you can get a cheaper repro scooped hood.

The scoops I found at PAP scoop plastic was brittle and broke when removing.
I looked at the aftermarket hoods they're close to OE, OCD kicked in.

Great score! Those of us with Natural White trucks always have to be prepared to shell out an extra $400-500 for paint

He painted a front clip on a 91 fox body for me years ago and does great work also. [emoji16]

People have had good experiences with them. Some fitment issues, but that's to be expected on a cheaper aftermarket hood. You'll still need the insert and that's where the price jumps a bit. Really hard to find used and they're expensive new.

I have an aftermarket hood like that and it fit good. but it is definitely made of thinner metal and will dent easier. but he cost is really nice.

Just picked up a sport hood from a local junkyard, needs good paint correction + touchup but otherwise in decent shape. Will post pics when installed!
FYI if anyone in MD/VA area is looking for a sport hood (in Imperial Jade Mica), there is on available at a local pick and pull. Looks in decent shape, will take pics tomorrow when I head down there.
