yeah you should get some cash back out of that, if you're anywhere close to St.gorge i'd just tell you to meet up with me in a month or two and we could go shooting, haha, you should see if there's a local forum or club you can join for thee sort for things, lots of people out there right now are all kinds of hyped up about getting newbies out there shooting for the first time..

haha no, it actually came with the whole guy,btw, that's got to be one of the best photo's for an ad i've ever seen! i was laughing for like 20 mins...and i still don't know why it's funny

Whoops, forgot to finish my statement. I'm actually trying to find ammo, but I'm not sure if it's 7.7x58 or 6.5x50. I think it's 7.7.

Ah, thank you that is helpful. Got this thing when my grandpa died. It's been sitting in a closet in my house for about 10 years. I really want to fire it. :D
 
I received my boxes of .40 and 12g today. Oddly enough, it was shipped in a soft envelope and about half of the 40 rounds where rolling around loose, out of the box. AND FedEx left both at my door. I work from home so it's not a big deal, but I was under the impression a signature would be required.

The Type 99 is/was 7.7mm the type 38 is/was 6.5x50.
The Arisaka is a very strong action how ever many were rechambered and or modified due to lack of ammo in the 50's/60's. Have the headspace checked, a chamber cast will tell the current caliber any good smith can do this.

nope gotta wait 2 weeks till i can buy again :-) , and trying to decide between the ar-10/variants vs fal...the more i read the more i think ar-10 type thing,as out of the box it's more reliable and accurate? ...?? i'd be mounting a magnified scope so that's another consideration..

Due to the recent and numerous new Anti-gun/Anti-2nd Amendment laws passed and/or pending across our country, LaRue Tactical has been forced to reconsider how we provide products to state and local agencies.

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

State and local laws have always been a serious focus of this firm, and we are now dovetailing that focus with the constitutional rights of the residents covered in their different areas by the old and new regulations.

We realize this effort will have an impact on this firm's sales - and have decided the lost sales are less danger to this firm than potential lawsuits from erroneous shipments generated by something as simple as human error.

hah. dovetailing.

Yeah we finally made it out to the range... down a completely frozen over dirt road into a valley, already in the shade. it's not much fun shooting with a 17* wind chill.

only managed about 25rds 22 and the same of 380 and maybe 8 of 9mm.

getting out was fun too. it was probably a half mile up the same trail frozen over. the valley floor besides the road was about a foot deep in snow. one guy got stuck in his 2wd ranger. A lifted jeep wrangler and I played in the deeper snow. Toyota ftw.

oh and the UHP trooper backed up and made a run for it up same said hill in his Charger.
