Oil Filter change question

ok, the 2008 has a "holder" for the filter, with a drain that looks like it would drain oil right onto the belt. I assume there is some trick, or tubing attachment that connects to that drain for the oil that comes out of the filter when it's removed.

What do you do/use to catch the oil from that and prevent dripping onto the belt?

When I had a V6 most times I would cut a beer can in half and drain it into the can. Or you can get some 5/32" rubber tubing, stick onto the drain nipple then snake it down so it drains into the oil pan. The latter would be easiest I think.

On the bottom of the "holder" is a rubber cap that covers the drain. I remove the cap then use a small piece of rubber hose and an empty soda/water bottle to catch the oil.

The most important part is to remove the cap. I left mine off. I use an old 1 quart oil container. It fits and holds itself snuggly collecting the oil from the filter.
