Hey guys,
So I changed the oil yesterday and this morning I noticed a slow leak (small 2-3tbls puddle) on the garage floor.
The drain plug does indeed have a drip. I did remove the previous gasket washer (which was aluminum). I did replace it with a new copper washer meant for drain plus (all I had) and the same plug.
I did notice a little corrosion around the drain plug when I removed it. It was bone dry before I removed it.
So my idea was get a new oem drain plug and aluminium washer, and try to quickly replace the plug without making a huge mess (we'll see).
Question is, do you think this is the right route, or should I go with one of those Dorman rubber coated plugs since it seems like theres some mild corrosion.
I'm asking because I don't want to have to do this again and keep making a mess.
Thanks!
