oil filter which is the best

I know this is subjective, I just wanted to see what was the most common one is.

Has anyone seen a cutaway of the more common filters. I usually use pure one or wix.

I have cut open many filters after running them on my "06" V-6 4runner but just cutting them open may not tell you anything at all.

After cutting them open though I must say I like the stock "Toyota/Denso D-3" as a real well made filter. Is it the best??? Does it filter better then any one of the other brands???

I think the one that comes with it is the best but you can't get them over here any more. Take that one apart and you'll notice a difference.

I change the Mobil 1 every 10k and the D3 every 5k.

Yup, I got a case of 10 a month or two ago on ebay. The total cost per filter was just $3.80, which is definitely a bargain compared to buying them from the local Toyota dealer.

thanks everyone! I bought a case on ebay. $3.74 each probably cheaper than a orange fram.

How do you store these in a plastic container. ie. rubbermaid
