I recently bought a 95' 4runner and have come across a few things I would like to ask you all. Looks like the oil pan is leaking from one corner. I'm going to try and put a wrench on it today but if that doesn't work how much am I looking at to get this replaced? Looks like to have to pull the damn engine.
Also, for those of you with auto transmissions and the 3.0 V6. At about what rpms and speed does your 4runner shift into overdrive when accelerating to higway speeds (60-70mph)? Occasionally when I get up around 60 to 65 the engine is turning around 3500 up 4000rpms, it sounds and feels like it should be shifting into o.d. but it won't unless I ease up on the gas a little bit. This is during normal acceleration and It doesn't appear to do it everytime. Is this a charateristic of these trucks? I'm used to driving a 3/4 ton crew cab Ford w/ V10 and just want to make sure I'm not comparing apples to oranges.
