Oil weight for cars in countries with very hot weather

Good day all,
Please I need some help on engine oil weight to use for my 2005 Toyota 4runner sr5 V6.
I bought it from the USA two months ago.

My manual says to use a 5w-30 engine oil. But out here in Nigeria where I live, I am unable to get a 5w-30 oil. What is on the shelves here is Mobil 1 New Life 0w-40/ Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 oils.

My question is, given the non availability of 5w-30 oils and the TEMPERATURE values (temperatures in Warri the city where I live can be as high as 40°C/104°F) should I go ahead and use the Mobil 1 New Life 0w-40/ Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 oils for my car? Will Mobil 1 New Life 0w-40/ Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 oils work well for my car in these temperatures?

I really need your help on this and I have searched all the forums but have not found any answers that fits this scenerio.

Plenty of areas in the States see summertime temps exceeding 110f. Folks in those areas use the factory oil weights without trouble, so I wouldn't use a different oil weight just based on temps. If it's really all you can get, the 5w40 will work in a pinch. I wouldn't use 0w40 though.

5W-40 will work fine in your engine. I run 10W-30 in my V6 by comparison, and the temperature is usually between 80-95 in the summer months. 180,000 miles strong.

Thank you so much for your response. I personally would have used the the recommended 5w-30. However it is not available where I live.
