Ok so boards are off AND I LOVE IT!

So last night I get home and sitting there drinking a beer and say to myself, "Hey why not take one running board off and see what it looks like?"
So what do I do? Thats right I take them son of guns off and find that I love it.

Not as much as you would expect it to. I gained 7" (of body clearence) and I don't beat my shins to death getting in and out. I will post a pic of a side on comparison later today.

I de-boarded a couple weekends ago and one of the first things the wife noticed was the fact you can now see the frame, crossmembers, fueltank, skid....
She later suggested that we get "those bars" (sliders) I was talking about. I wasted no time and they are on the way (Stubbs).

Niether of us miss having to lunge over the boards to avoid contact with them on the way in or out.

yeah I have done the air box mod, ISR mod, deboarded, and gonna do the grey-wire mod. Then it is on to tires, roclsliders, and liftkit. Hey sports what type are you getting I would be curious to look at them?
 
Looks good man, i took mine off the first day i got it. I just dont like the look of em, Taking them off makes it look way better and makes it look a lil "lifted". Congrats!!
 
Thanks guys! I love it. I know that is part of the limited package but I don't care I am hitting the trails this summer with this thing and wanna avoid tearing up items, i know oxymoron right, as often as possible. But I am using the search bar to find other inexpensive but useful tricks.
 
crzyrzr, Where did you get your grille guard, and also does it come with the back tail light guard too? I couldn't tell from the pic. Either way, I might go boardless looking at those pics.

So my daughter kicked a whole in my running board which gave me the great opportunity to take off my running boards and stick some Stubbs Sliders on there. They fit perfectly (had them powder coated) and the welder said they are the best he had ever seen. They are the best! Although it did look good just without the boards on.

Hey roo to tell you the truth I don't know where it came from. It was on there when I got it, done pisspoor if I may say so. That thing will be coming off as soon as I can decide on a new setup in the front. And no rear light guards checking into them.

And thanks sports I am in touch with stubbs on getting my rocksliders next. :D
