Hello,
New to Toyota, stationed on Okinawa and just picked up a 97 Surf. Anybody out here in Oki now a good place to pick up parts if needed? I heard the places on base were expensive, any junk yards that have a lot of these?

I am in Misawa, JP
Best deal for most parts will be to order them from the states and get them shipped to you base address, just check first with your post office for size and weight limits. Most of the parts for the 1997 4 Runner will bolt right on to your rig.

Hey man, I'm from Okinawa too. What part are you in? I've been here a while and doing some light off roading. Just recently lifted my surf and put some bigger tires on.

Cheapest for parts is really ordering from the states. All the stores in japn will charge full retail because it's just how they operate. Planning on checking out a couple locations this weekend I heard about from a Japanese friend.

Junkyards don't usually have aftermarket parts for surfs here sadly.

Oh and for ordering from the U.S. lots of companies won't ship, Wheeler's Off-road shipped my stuff and it was here within a week.
