OME 1st Rear Lift question

I just received my OME rear lift and was wondering if I am supposed to reuse the hanger pins? I got the OME greasable shackle kit and it came with the four pins for the shackles, but I'm thinking I need to get hanger pins for the front leaf mount still.. I had to saw one of the pins during disassembly because it was seized up.

Yeah, for some reason OME doesn't supply greasable front pins, probably because they've got that weird flanged setup. I had to saw mine off too, I carved a washer to the right shape to shim the new pins with.

It's not ideal though, I need to replace the front hangers entirely. They aren't stout.

Huh. So would I need washers and nuts too then? I just went to the dealership and ordered pins that won't be here till Tuesday and if I have to order more and wait longer I'm gonna be pissed.

I just realized you're talking about the rear springs, not the front. Ignore my post up there .

I didn't order replacement pins for the spring hangar, I just grabbed a set of grade 8s that were the right size and threw them in. The OEM pin for the rear springs isn't weird or anything, you should be able to use hardware off the shelf to install it. Pro-tip: drown that sucker in antiseize, so you don't have to cut it out next time. As you've discovered, that pin likes to seize in the spring bushing.

Good info thank you. I ended up just ordering from the dealer it was only $5 anyways. I was also wondering about greasing. So I just grease everything? The mounts, bushings inside and out, pins?

Anything that doesn't have a grease zerk should get slathered in antiseize.
