OME 851 vs. 861

I previously had the 861's and it netted roughly 4.5" of lift. I know there are a few people running the 851 and wanted to ask what the difference was? Toytec has the 851 listed as a "light" coil with 2.5" of lift for the LC. However they have the same spring rate at 220 but the 851 has a thicker bar diameter and is .2" shorter so how is it a light coil and gives more lift?

Had anybody noticed settling in their 851's or 861's? I just installed mine and they are a bit high, just wondering if i need to yank the cones out.

Not a huge difference between the 2. My 861's gave me 5.5 inches with no extra weight. sn0wrunner got 6 inches with 851's and no extra weight.

Both springs have the same 220lb spring rate but the 861 is 1/4 inch taller and the 851 has 1mm thicker bar diameter. The 861's have the progressive winds at the top and the 851's do not.

Honestly i do not think the end result will be much different.

ome 851 gives 6'' of lift with no extra weight, will i need adjustable links and pan bar for the extra lift beside the obvious longer shocks etc...

Need... No. I wouldn't worry about the links, but I would highly recommend doing a panhard drop bracket. Ideally, you would put adjustable links, panhard bar, and a panhard drop bracket. You could get away with not doing any of the above if you just do highway driving. Those other items will just make it drive nicer...
