OME Lift w/ TRD Tundra Coils

Hello all,

So I've been checking out this forum ever since I bought my 4R back in Dec 05, always found pleanty of answers for the questions I've had and never really needed to post. Already spent probably to much $ because of this forum.

Anyways I'm interested in the OME lift for my '03 4Runner, seems like the best option from what I've read (kind of weary of spacer technology). So I guess what I'm asking is if anyone could recomend a good shop or online supplier for this lift, I found a kit from Slee Offroad:

Anyone using this kit? Any thoughts? Also I've heard that Swapping out the OME885 coils with TRD Tundra Coils gives you a smoother ride. Has anyone tried this, because I can't seem to find any info on the subject anywhere.

I wouldn't even bother. Slee knows what they are doing. They installed my suspension for me. I have the 885's up front onj my v6. Slee was aprehensive about putting those coils on the v6 since they are recommended for the v8 trucks. I got a little extra lift out of them. Personally, I wouldn't want them any softer. The back was a little stiff at first, but since I added the CBI tire carrier things seem to have evened out.

check out that above link, on the 120 forum page the OME kit is discussed. I think I am ordering it this week.

I'm gonna get 884's in the front and 895's in the rear, I'm a little worried that the rear will be to stiff as I usaully ride pretty empty.

Ok great. Thanks for the advice, Pribilof. I think I'm going to go with Slee, using the 885 coils in the front and the 895's in the rear. Thanks for the link Ryanmb21, definitly sealed the deal for me and the install instructions will definitly be usefull.

the only thing worrying me is the whole warranty thing....

does anybody have any bad experiences after putting in a lift?

My previous vehicle was a '99 Tacoma Prerunner, that I had installed a custom lift on and I never ran into any warranty issues with Toyota or the dealership. I would assume however that if you run into a problem that directly relates to the suspension components themselves that they would not be covered under your factory warranty. In my experience that is just the risk you have to take when you deside to lift your vehicle.
