One click to unlock with wireless receiver

Hey all. Im very new the the Toyota world and decided to get a 2015 SR5 Natical Blue recently after my Ford Exploder exploded :laugh:. So far loving everything about this car! Except one thing. I was wondering if anyone has figured our how to change the SR5 key so when I press the unlock button it unlocks the whole car?? I got a techstream a month ago which I though would surely solve the issue but I could not find a setting in the software to change this. Also I have searched countless forums regarding this topic from 4runners to tundras and cant seem to find the answer.

Just wondering if anyone has any new developments regarding if this is possible to program using some sequence or if I'm missing a setting somewhere in techstream?

Additional information: Not sure why this is bothering me so bad. Maybe its just the simplicity concept behind it which toyota wont implement into an SR5 that is driving me crazy. If worst comes to worst 2 clicks is not bad at all would just be nice to hit the button once, all doors come unlocked, hold it longer, all windows go down! :biggrin1:

Nope, don't know either. My wife said I was thinking like a guy on it, a woman wants only the driver's door unlocked first so a stranger can't get in the car with her.

Might be a way with one of those remote start systems.

I think it's a security thing so if you're by yourself only your door unlocks. Haven't heard anywhere how to override this option.

Put in an aftermarket alarm system. I have a viper One click unlocks all. When I press one button my windows go down. I have a button for my back window also. Oh and auto start Spend the money it's worth it

Eventually I would love to put one of these in which is why I didn't have the dealer install remote start. Figured for the price they wanted to charge I could get a pretty good aftermarket system. Also that's frickin awesome you can control the back window too! Mind sending me the product information of the viper you have??

Hahaha that's good point from a women's perspective. They need to let us men do what we want!

I disabled the chirps for this very reason! The lights still flash, but no roadrunner noises.

I also disabled 'All doors unlock when put into Park' for that reason, so that no one hops in the truck after my wife parks somewhere. Now she can just open her door, and if she needs in another one of the doors (and it's safe/clear) she can press the unlock button on the door panel.

I honestly forgot which exact viper model I have. But trust me when you go to an aftermarket place or even buy one online they have different options on different models so just buy the one that has the specific options your looking for. Good luck in your search.

I'm finally considering getting one of these viper systems but only place I can find to install it is at best buy which worries me. Mind me asking how much it cost to install and where you got it installed at? Also did you need to buy a bunch of extra modules to roll down the windows and control the rear window?

Finally trained myself to hit the button twice after 7 months of training ha! Now Im on a remote start kick and also would like to get a third party remote to roll up windows on lock mod since I've successfully been able to program them through techstream to roll them down by holding the unlock button but for some reason no option to hold the lock button and roll them up. My obsession has gone far beyond one click to unlock.

The alarm I got came with auto start. And the module to lower the window in the rear. You can add the sunroof and other Windows if necessary. Now a days they can add anything And don't worry Best Buy is as good as anyone to install I thought the same until I had them install something for me.

The dealer can program it so when you unlock the drivers door from your key all the doors unlock (with one press of the button). It should take them 5 mins. When I got my service done I asked them to program it so all doors lock at when I hit 20km/h (Canada). They offered me to program what you wanted but opted not to. It could be found on the 5th gen mod sticky.

Uhm... stupid question guys, but don't the 14+ models let you customize those features through the Entune Headunit's "Vehicle" sub-menu?

I had the dealer program my '14 LE to unlock all doors. All it took was the wife breaking a nail when I only unlocked my door to get in.

Check the owners manual, there is a section on customization.

When I got my service done I asked them to program it so all doors lock at when I hit 20km/h (Canada). They offered me to program what you wanted but opted not to. It could be found on the 5th gen mod sticky.

I have techstream installed on my computer and went through every dealer setting and customized my vehicle the way I wanted to. One click to unlock was not an option I could find in techstream. I also emailed my dealer to ask if they knew something I did not and they said it could not be done on the SR5.

Under "door lock", "opening drivers door unlocks all doors" can be turned on. BTW I have an SR5P, 2015. The service guy offered to do it at the same time I turned on "speed detecting automatic door lock." They didnt charge me because I asked them to do it when I got my maintenance service done. Took like 2 mins. They just hookup a computer and switch it on. I dont know if other dealers will charge you. Maybe if you asked nicely lol! Hope that helps!

Ill give it a shot! I have the same software and usb cord the dealer uses on my computer to change all of these settings. The program is called techstream. That's a little different than what Im looking for but better than nothing! Ill check the settings on the software again for that option. Thanks for the info! :thanks:

Even better if you could do it on your own! I'm 99.9999% sure it will do what you want. The one press of the button normally unlocks the just the drivers door. When this is switched on, one press will unlock the drivers door and all other doors. Let us know how it turns out!
