One year as a 4Runner owner

One year ago today (Nov. 18), I became a new Toyota owner. The 4Runner has exceeded my expectation in reliability. I'm nearly 20,000 miles and haven't had a single hiccup. The new camping season is going to be fantastic with the new T@B 400 Boondock. I'm looking foward to traveling to see the total solar eclipse (retired physics/astronomy prof after all).

What's your fluid maintenance schedule look like?

I change oil every 10K with TRD filter and Mobile syn. - I will be having the breaks, power steering, and radiator drained and replaced for the first time. (soon) Break pads last about 60K to 75K miles and it's all working great. I have a K&N air filter and cabin filter I clean every 15K. (I live in non-dusty conditions and always garaged. People think it's a new Limited.) My driver's seat is starting to crack on the left side but not too bad. All's good.

I’ve been driving Toyota 4x4’s as my daily driver for the past 41 years. Previously to my 2018 Pro, I had my 2001 4Runner for 17.5 years. It was tough to sell it. Happy with my 5th gen and hope I have it as long. These built in Japan Toyotas are great. The 4Runner is a vehicle you buy as it will be something you will be driving for 15-20 years, even as a second vehicle or dedicated off road vehicle. And then you can pass it down afterwards.
