Opinions on new suspsension lift.

Right now I have 3" coils in the back (890) and spacers up front from toytech, not too happy about the setup because of the way the truck rides now.

So here is the new lift I am thinking about going with:

881 coils up front with a top plate (to give me 3")
2 OME shocks up front
2 procomp shocks in the rear ($100 for both)

All together it would be $578 (from toytech). Is there a better setup that might be cheaper? What's the link to the Old Man Emu website? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Are these shocks adjustable? I don't think they are but just wanted to make sure. Do I need adjustable shocks?

Also I have a question about a body lift. I'd like to get a 1" body lift, do I need a diff. drop if I already have a 3" lift or no?

OME is ARB's brand of suspension. They sell through distributors. There are literally hundreds of online stores selling OME stuff.

The procomps? Look them up online. And it's not a question of needing adjustability, do you want it.

The body lift has nothing to do with suspension lifts. Diff drop is purely your choice, there's tons of discussions on it here and everywhere. I say don't bother but check the condition of your cv boots.

I have the same set up up front and like how it's handled so far. I went for the OME Comfort shocks on all four corners. I don't suggest mixing the shocks front and rear because that will undoubtedly effect handling.

Also, a body lift does not effect or correlate with the suspension at all. It simply raises the body an inch higher off the frame of the truck. I would suggest getting a differential drop for the front though. I'm sure that your CV's are at a pretty steep angle now with the spacer lift and no differential drop. I installed the diff drop after my 881's and top out spacers and the CV angle was reduced noticeably.

How much were the OME Comfort shocks and where did you buy them?

I'm thinking of getting this lift because my current one bottoms out, everytime I go over a speedbump at 3mph hour I can feel the whole front suspension "clunking" down loudly, I think my shocks are shot.

look up toytec... they have the comfort shocks and the OME coils. Whole setup together is what i ended up getting.

I was thinking of going to Toytec too.......instead of doing the spacers (like Cornfed 3/2) I was considering Toytec coils all around..........

Would this give me the same amount of lift I need (for 285/70/17) that the Cornfed would??

ya the toytec all around is a good setup but dont plan on it riding soft or anything... i got the medium steup 882/891 coils and the front isnt as bad as the rear bc i took off my spare and im riding with a stock bumper.

lol ya its kinda rough especially since i took off my spare but i got it bc i plan to get a REAL rear bumper sometime down the line so i figured i should just get one lift and live with it.... I just ordered a roof rack and i have subs in the back so that helps out a little

yep... Id say problem solved

take the 800$ you were gonna spend on a different suspension and get a bumper for the front...

then you will have protection and a smooth ride!

Not really that much, the front coil selection isn't really affected by the rear load. The rear spring handles that weight. The only reason you would want the 882's up front would be if you were running a bumper/winch combo.

How do the Bilstein 5100s compare to the toytech OME shocks?

Ya i meant the rear load would help out with the rear coils being kinda rough... i plan to get a new front bumper once i can find a used one since i cant afford a new one.
