Opinions wanted: Powdercoat TRD Wheels?

I have the black TRD wheels (like every second or third 4Runner on the road here) and I like the matte black, but was thinking of having them powdercoated gloss black. I would be about $400. Are they strong enough to withstand the heat of baking? I know for a fact (for example) never to powdercoat Rota wheels because they'll eventually crack. Any "constructive" comments? Good idea or bad idea?

Are they cast like rotas? I believe they say not to powdercoat cast wheels because heating them up weakens the integrity of the wheel? But ive seen people powder coat rotas and scs wheels anyways :shrug:

can look into cerakote too they say its even tougher than powder coat, its what gun shops do designs and stuff on guns with. Just something to look into

No idea on the cost difference more or cheaper?

Thanks guys...I think I'll stick with what I got. The more I researched, the more I didn't like what I read.

I'll eventually contact Dustin at FN and go from there.
