It's a standard lanyard...there is a buckle towards the bottom..but no breakaway at the neck..I've had both and prefer the standard lanyard..however I guess if I planned on getting in a fight with my lanyard around my neck, the breakaway would come in handy....

Lol I don't plan on a fight, but the breakaway is required for my job. That's why I was asking.
