mudders are good for sloshing through the slop and crawling around the rocks. However, if you plan to have one set for all around use, then A/T may be better. Muds will be loouder, wear faster, and give less traction on paved road and rain. If you plan to go through mixed off road; dirt trails, gravel roads, fire roads, some mud puddles, snow, paved roads and eveyrday use, A/T may be much better. A search through some of hte dedicated off road magazines testing BFG A/T to BFG M/T found little difference exceptr for heavy slop. SO your tradeoff between slop to eveyrday use may tilt you towards A/T rather than M/T.
