Outer Tie Rod Boot

Hi guys, Does anyone know where/if you can order just the boots on the outer tie rod? I called the local dealership and they wanted 25.00. To compare prices I called the dealership in Las Cruces and they told me I was not able to purchase just the boot. I needed to buy the next higher assy, that being the outer tie rod itself, for the low--low price of 47.00. Sounds like I'm being given the run around. I think a sharp piece of shale was the culprit this past weekend. Anyway, any advice would be great. Thanks...Cas

Thanks for the info. I went to partznet, but they didn't have the info i needed. So I found www.techinfo.toyota.com and found the service manual (in PDF format) with all the info I needed. It appears you need to buy the tie rod itself :( , oh well, expensive mistake!

Pribilof, Yes it is a paysite. 10 bucks for a day and I think thats more than enough time to download all 500 PDF files. 10 bucks vs 200 pllus for the manual. A good deal if you just need to reference a few sections of the manual. I thought it was a cool site to share, although I am going to buy the manual itself as I enjoy working on my truck!:)

Acrobat Reader 6.0 lets you do word searches even if the file wasnt built with that ability. I'd rather have all PDF files than a paper manual.
