overdrive problem any idea's?

While driving down interstate with cruise on while coming to an incline trans kicks down to 3rd gear until speed picks back up to where cruise is set.....but then never shifts up into overdrive again unless I cancel the cruise setting then she shifts back into overdrive. Any ideas people?? is there a shift solenoid or some sensor I need to check??? Thanks for your time

might need to adjust your kick down cable. maybe you can try the same hill with no cruise control. as you start to slow down, give it more gas till it kicks down a gear and see if it upshifts when you let off the gas a little

and it shifts normally if the cruise is not used

hmm i dont, might need to adjust the cable on the cruise control if there is one. i never use my cruise control when there is a hill coming. i take over so it doesnt shift up and down so much
