Couple of months ago I installed the HUM ODB II diagnostics module on my 4R. It came with my new phone so I figured why not. In addition to diagnostics, it provides analytics on your driving.
Anyway, today while I'm sitting in my office and my 4R is out in the parking lot I get the following message..
Hi JEREMY,
Your 2018 TOYOTA 4RUNNER has triggered a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) with the following details:
Code
P0001
Description
The Fuel Volume Regulator allows the fuel system to release excessive fuel from the engine back to the fuel tank. When the engine control module (PCM) determines that the Fuel Volume Regulator is not performing properly, the PCM will set code P0001.
This alert was detected at 03:47 PM on 07/17/2019.
What's weird is that I haven't driven it for over two hours, so the fact that it's throwing a code just sitting there is odd..
Planning to check it out with my regular scan tool when I get home, but I can't imagine a vehicle with 8K, especially a Toyota would have this kind of problem..Curious now whether it's going to pop a CEL when I start up..anyone with a newer 4R ever run across this?
