P0120; Throttle Position Sensor Question

My runner is throwing P0120 and when the light comes on it has no power to accelerate uphill. When I reset the light everything is good up until the code throws then back to no uphill power. My question is has anyone replaced their TPS with a $40 part from amazon? If so did the part last?

What year is your runner?

As long it's denso (OEM) it'll be fine if not don't gamble.

I don't think it is an expensive part to buy from the dealer; I would give them a call for a price check.

It's a 99 Limited 3.4 the closest dealer I have is about an hour away. Figuring I may just buy one from AutoZone or NAPA.
