P0755 only when trans is cold.

Been having a small issue and just curious opinions. I have been getting a pretty rough shift from what feels like 1-2,2-3 in my 2001 auto SR5. 151k.

The weird part, I can put the truck in 2 and drive it around my neighborhood until the trans hits 125 degrees or so and it won't happen. It ONLY happens when it's cold. Other than this, it shifts super smooth. I've had the P0755 come on twice in the past month or so. I clear it once it warms up, then pretty much don't see it again for weeks on end.

I know it's shift solenoid #2. Should I be super worried about running this trans for now, or needing to replace the solenoid? I've been babying it until it's warm and then it's butter. B&M cooler installed keeps it happy in traffic too.

Fluid is clean. I added a little Lucas condition for good measure and it smoothed it out when cold a bit.

I've thought about just planning a full tranny flush while replacing that solenoid and seeing where that gets me...... Or start sourcing another auto trans as a donor......

Just replace the solenoid, it isn't hard to do. There's no way to know that another used transmission is as good as or worse that the one you already have.
