Pads for Prinsu roof rack?

Hey guys, recently carried my surfboards on my prinsu rack and now I'm wanting to pad the rear bar along with either the front-most bar OR the top edge of the fairing if the padding won't raise the board enough to clear the top of the fairing.

Since the square tubing doesn't seem to be similar to the "normal" rounder tubing of traditional roof racks I'm having a hard time finding something that looks like it'll fit. Anyone with a prinsu, or other square-tubed, roof rack have any suggestions?

Try closed-cell foam pipe insulation. Sold for various sized pipes at hardware stores and plumbing supply stores.

Go to page 588, there is a rubber door seal that is made to fit into the slot on the extrusion that might work for you. They also have a tread strip on page 793.


But I would probably just use pipe foam and zip ties, it doesn't matter that the foam is round

2nd this recommendation. it's cheap, too. I get mine at Home Depot and Lowe's.
