Paint or powdercoat bumper?

Hello all I recently placed an order for a new aftermarket plate front bumper and waiting on it to arrive later this month. I'm trying to decide on what color to paint it but more importantly how to paint it.

I have considered a few options.

1. Black wrinkle textured powdercoat (this is a very small very fine texture often found on valve covers and intake manifolds that holds up very well). I wonder how well it will try and hold the dirt in the wrinkle finish. This is probably my favorite choice though.

2. Factory silver paint from a local reputable body shop.

3. Satin/ almost flat black smooth powder coat


I'm worried about function first then looks as a close second. I know the powdercoat will hold up well and its about $45 cheaper than paint in my area but I just dont know how easily I will be able to clean the wrinkle finish and I dont think I'd really care for the satin black powder coat over the color matched paint finish.

Truck is a 2000 limited silver in color, bumper is the new 4xinovations plate bumper.

which aftermarket bumper?

wrinkle coat wipes down easy enough, they already use it on the lower portion of our doors from the factory......

i would chose wrinkle coat first then either color matched or black depending upon which bumper it is, i think some of the aftermarket bumpers would end up looking kind of wimpy and just not right if color matched, on the other hand i think some of them would look alright...

basically if it has hoops or is a tube bumper it has to be black, if it has no hoops and made from plate color match would be ok, or plate bumper with hoops should be black as well...lol

i guess i think color matched hoops look funny....

wrinkle, then gradually match different parts when possible, its a good looking finish.
