Painted door handle covers

Just curious if anyone has ever seen or heard of these...

I've seen a lot of chrome door handle covers for sale. But what about door handle covers that are already painted to match your vehicle, i.e. to cover up the chrome?

Just wondering, for those of us who want to de-chrome, but can't quite bring ourselves (or who lack the attention to detail necessary) to paint our door handle covers, ourselves

I've seen sets of the chrome covers for as little as $40.00. I'd pay more than that for the painted ones.

Look it up in the harper7 part number thread in the write ups section. The Canadian model SR5s come with painted door handles. IIRC, all of the colors with the exception of Blizzard White are available painted from the factory.

Can this be done on the Limited with the touch sensors or would removing and painting be the best route to go?

Digging up this old thread because I'm wondering the same thing. I've got the paint to match and am hoping someone has a definitive answer before I paint it and it no longer works.
