Painting grey centers of bumpers? (03-04)

Hi, I wanted to know if anyone has painted the center areas of their 03-04 bumpers to match the rest of the car? I am personally not a fan of the mismatch... it surprises me some companies still do it. I noticed all the new Z71 Tahoes do the same thing... I think it takes away from the clean look.

I have a 2004 4runner Limited in black. I understand the look of having the silver accents, and I actually like the running boards and roof racks being silver. Some might want to stay with the theme and not paint the bumpers because of this, but I wouldn't mind the clean matching look on the front and back, and I'm okay with the silver sides. I would also consider blacking everything out. Has anyone done this? I saw someone even use spray paint on this part, however I probably couldn't pull that off. Would paint at a body shop come off unless the silver painting was removed first? Any other routes? Thoughts or suggestions? I appreciate it.

I painted the front one black a few years ago. Cause "black will get ya back" ha.

I used plastidip on mine, turned out pretty good and has help up well.

I used plasti-dip. It took around an hour to mask off and spray the 5 or so layers. It is incredibly easy to deal with and cheap. Plus if you ever don't like it...........peal it off. There are a bunch of videos on YouTube showing how to use it. Home Depot and Menards sell it in the paint section.

I had my rear one professionally painted (black) to match mine. I also traded my silver rack for a black one & like the look of both of these much better. I didn't do the front at the time & I've recently switched to an ARB front so now it's black (also had it painted to match) too.

Thank you guys. I think I'll start with this nice and cheap option and give plasti-dip a try. Ark's looks good keeping the rails/boards silver as well... thanks.

Wow, this plasti-dip is amazing. It's much more forgiving than spray paint. It looks like a professional job. Very happy with the results. This is exactly what I've wanted for the last two years. Thanks for the recommendation. A little painters tape and half a can did the trick: $10. It's tempting not to keep using it on other parts, but I think I'll just stop while I'm ahead. Has anyone used it on the running boards and roof rails?

I painted mine white using DupliColor OEM Match paint, although I wish I'd used automotivetouchup.com as their paint matches a little better.

The bumper centers? I actually pulled that off because it didn't match the wheels and seemed like too many colors of grey.
