My daughter totaled our 4Runner last Monday when we had some snow and ice here in Denver area. Car has a little over 200K miles on it completely stock, manual transmission, e-lock differential, desert dune exterior, tan leather interior, tow package, roof rack, and no rust. This vehicle was as tight driving as the day I bought her and just had the clutch replaced. My daughter hit a construction trailer head on so damage up front and passenger fender but not rear or sides. I just confirmed today that it is not repairable so (after lurking for several years), I joined the forum and am posting to get it cleared out of my mechanic's area quickly. I will take pictures of exterior and interior tomorrow and post them. And when I get a better look, a better assessment of damage (including engine of course) can be made.
To this point, I have sold nothing. For the vast majority of large items, I will only accept local pickup because my job and other cars just don't leave me time to dismantle, crate, and ship. If it's an issue, I can copy prices I've seen from similar posts and include those. Although new to this particular forum, I am a long time member of Pelican Parts buying, trading, selling personal Porsche parts. I am not in this business. I only want to recover some funds from a vehicle I expected to own forever. I have no desire to deal with CL flakes, so as a Porsche enthusiast, I felt the best place to go was to 4Runner enthusiasts.
