The upstream was replaced with a Walker Cat. I paid about $175 for it approximately 1000 miles ago.

Thanks. Is your truck 50 state emissions? I just found out that mine has the 50 state/ California emissions on it.
Hi, interesting that you should ask. When I bought this catalytic converter, I asked a mechanic and the people at the auto parts store if it was a 50 state or an EPA vehicle. They both told me that it was EPA. I then ordered the cat based on their recommendations. Fast forward a few days and the P0420 kept coming on. I found out that all 2001-2002 4runners were made to 50 state specs regardless on the stickers info.
In summary, if you have a 50 state vehicle, this may not work for your vehicle.

Exactly what I've just found out about my '99 Limited. Even though it was originally sold and registered in VA, it also has the 50 state emissions ( for an additional fee on the window sticker !) I appreciate taking the time to keep responding to my questions, unfortunately it looks like I'll need to buy a new unit. The Bosal 50 state spec'd one isn't too pricey but like everyone else, the budget is non-existent and I was hoping to catch a break.

Charlie- received the master cylinder assembly today. Thank you so much for getting it to me so quickly. I've seen newborns packed less carefully for travel than this thing was. Can't thank you enough for all your help and your quick turnaround.
