Parts Catalogs - why so incomplete?...

I find when searching most of the usual OEM parts sites that they are incomplete. For example, if you search for automatic transmission parts for a 2000 4Runner Limited, you basically get 5 offerings and most are for the entire transmission. I'm going to need some parts to repair leaks to the speed sensor(s) and such and don't see any of those parts listed. Are there more comprehensive parts catalogs out there that I'm not seeing?

Most of the parts sites you are looking at show the Collision Parts catalog while many of the internal parts are in the OEM catalog

You can always call your Toyota dealer and give them your VIN to get exact parts but don't expect them to give out part numbers - they know how it works
