Passing along a good deal - Wagner PAB589 - $6.27 shipped

So I came across these looking for some rear shoes for my 96. After looking at a few options I cam across the PAB589's on Amazon. As I looked over the page I saw they started at $6.27 Below the detail section. They are listed as "Used - Like New". A little skeptical I figured I would take a chance at $6.27 SHIPPED (with Prime)....
The shoes came in and there is some box damage that they taped up, but the shoes are brand new!!

Thought I would pass this along for others to take advantage of a killer deal! And they are fulfilled by Amazon Warehouse so no 3rd party people.

Source and details for this? I've used cheapo aftermarket shoes on my old 2nd gen 4Runner just fine, don't imagine the 3rd gen to be much different.

I have aftermarket shoes on my 4runners. They work just fine and no fitment issues.

Aftermarket brake shoes and pads have less friction compared to OEM. AS a result, you have to push the padel harder to stop. Also with aftermarket, it is hard to judge the distance it takes to stop the car completely. I am getting rid of like new aftermarket brake pads in TLC 100 and replacing all that with OEM.

Wagner makes good brake parts, very tempted to try, but I am not a prime member..

Forum myth created by guys that get aroused by part diagrams. I have Bosch brake shoes. I can confirm they fit like OEM and I am able to stop.

Also a myth. That's what the self-adjusters are for. Plus, good aftermarket companies don't have less friction on the pads and shoes.

Dude, WTF are you talking about? None of this is true.

I have Wagner TQs front and rear on my 4Runner with no issues. Wagner makes a quality product. There are 2 different size brakes on 4Runners, seems to confuse a lot of people.

I heard StopTech makes cross drilled drums. Less heat soak = less prone to warpage.

I have the Wagner shoes also, no issues and no change in pedal feel compared to OEM. Great deal OP!

I picked up some cheap $14.97 wearever shoes from Advance Auto yesterday and they fit great. No issues so far after doing the driver's side and putting a new National wheel seal in also.
