I topped up my coolant with this yesterday, putting it in with the Toyota pink. I didn't realize coolants were so complicated. After reading through my Google searches it sounds like I did something catastrophic to my Runner.
The Peak Long Life is OAT, and silicate and phosphate free. They say it's fine for topping up any brand. Well, is it? Are things fine until my next coolant change in a few years? Can I use the rest of this bottle for my top ups over this period? Or, should I flush and go get Toyota Pink and use nothing but?
If I knew it was this complicated I would've gone to the dealer yesterday instead of an auto parts store. I was going by my manual, which says use ethylene glycol based coolants or the Toyota product. I figured I could trust the manual.
