I think this thread was started many iOS versions ago, but I see it was recently updated, so I’ll bite:
Vehicle in my username is still current
iOS 15.1.1 on an iPhone 12 Pro Max
All is good and was good. Is this specifically a Bluetooth thing or have there been CarPlay issues as well?

this is why i made the post... mine still does it.
after 5-10 mins... the call will drop and the head up unit restarts itself just randomly...
How do you update with etune not being supported anymore? anyone have a link to the newest software version I can just it on a usb and take it out there?

iOS 15.2 is out and was supposed to fix Bluetooth problems. But problems remain.

Same. My old iPhone 8 worked but my new 13 Mini with 15.1.1 disconnects. Definitely seems like Bluetooth issue.

Mine is doing the same thing. System worked great for a couple years. I updated my iPhone but also had to update the head unit when Toyota ditched the entune app and worked it all into the Toyota app. None of the apps work for me anymore and my Bluetooth calls disconnect after about 2 minutes

I had same problem you had. How i fixed it.
get rid of any trace of toyota in blue tooth on your iPhone, then turn off iphone completely. Make sure your 4runner is turned off also.
Now go turn on 4runner, and Go to the blue tooth menu and get rid of anything related with iPhone. make sure your iPhone is still turned completely off when you are doing this. turn off car once done, wait a few minutes and turn it back on.
This should fix your issues, and then re-sync everything.
Apparently, what happened is entunes tried to update through your iPhone, and ended up with buggy software that crashes your radio/navigation at startup. It should be resolved by now.
Only issues is i cant get messenger to work on my head unit.
