I don't know if you can really tell from the pics, but the light is MUCH more intense than any Halogen bulb I've ever used. Work great even in rain, where I felt the Silverstars always washed out.

Front Mat (I know it's already dirty, but that just means it's doing its job!)

Rear Mat, doesn't quite extend as far under the front seats as I would like, but it covers the middle, which is very important to me.

I just got some LED lights that I'm going to try to put in the taillights and turn signals, so I'll update once I try that. It's snowing/raining right now, so don't feel like doing it right at this moment.

I got the HID's from XenonDepot

It's the 4300K XenonDepot HID Conversion Kit. This is the temp of the OEM's, optimized for the most light output.

nice nice... from what I see in the pictures is that you're producing alot of glare.... which is no problem for you, but a big problem for other drivers... especially the ones that are substantially lower than a SUV. Aim it down a little and see if you can't reduce the glare a little.

the glare is from the reflectors in the headlight itself. HIDs are awesome, as long as they are done right. dont get me wrong im not trying to rip apart your mod i think theyre cool. but i would expect to get high beamed just from looking at that pic. look how your silverstars have a nice clean line at the top of the cutoff. now look at the HIDs. everywhere above the cutoff there, is glare. good mod tho props on that.

i also took the pic at a closer distance to the garage than i did with the silverstar.. if i backed up it'd prolly be the same.

I notice a sharper cut off when driving then there was with the halogens.

No highbeams at me yet, and I've driven a lot at night.

My S2000, which had projector HIDs and a stiff suspension got me high beamed every night. hahah

At that distance I believe you would have the same glare with the stock bulbs. I've got some HID's coming from ebay for my own Xmas present to myself. The bulbs are rebased d2r so they are designed for stock reflector housings. I'll post some of my before and after pics when the kit arrives later this week. The xenon depot kits cost around 400 bones. I would have gone to the new 4800K D4R kit at that price, or a even a 45 watt kit. There were two things that I really wanted in a HID kit.

1) D2R based bulbs (9006)
2) Quality ballasts (Denso)

I picked an ebay seller with great ratings and reviews. Also, the equipment comes with a 1 year warranty.

I finnally realize about the glare, on my 3rd gen with my hids they are aimed at the ground in front of my 4runner but i can see my headlights up on the trees above me. Could i do a casper shield?

No highbeams at me yet, and I've driven a lot at night.

thats the wierd thing, i havent gotten flashed at all yet and i also drive alot at night. I think maybe its just because everyone thinks all HIDs are bright as what. But it does bother drivers in cars when pull up behind them at a stoplight but as soon as i get some distance its fine.

What do you mean they're aimed down? If you aim them down, the light is reflected upwards, which isn't a good thing.

If aimed properly, you shouldn't be lighting up the tree tops.

2017 update. HID bulbs were working fine, but in 2016 I went back to stock bulbs from Amazon. No reason specificially.
