I've had my truck for close to 3 years, honestly, I'm afraid that the silver color under the badge will be of a different color (darker) than the rest of the car, true? or is it a myth??

There could be possible fade. But most of today's automotive finishes and clearcoats keeps fade to a minimum. At any rate it's a valid concern. You could try removing one letter and inspect the paint. Worst case scenerio, you'll be reattaching one letter.
