Piers Morgan

Why should I care what one of The Queen's subjects has to say about MY country and MY freedoms? He obviously can't grasp what it means to live in a truly free society. Here's the way I look at it: Europeans will never really understand Americans because they are descended from the folks who were too lazy/ apathetic to get off their asses and find a better life for themselves. They see no problem with being surfs and mindlessly following an elite class of rulers....they've been doing it since history began. On the other hand, our ancestors (I don't care from where or how long ago) weren't happy with the way things were in their lives and had the guts/ initiative to better themselves and their situation.

Why do you make them matter??

MSNBC caters to their demented crowd. FoxNews caters to their warped crowd.

Pretty clear that most of you might swim in the FN soup, but don't think they are any different.

I just cut out the bullshit and listen/watch bbc or al jazeera for us/world news. The american news stations make me sick.

Citing exact quotes, it sounds like you can't get enough of the guy.

Guess what this makes him??....... SUCCESSFUL !!

Clearly YOU and those like you are the ones keeping him interesting and on the air.

Johnny T,

You Sir are correct in this assessment. I can't get enough of his stupidity and irrational thinking. I keep up on everything this Foreigner is spouting off because it effects the rest of America and because I care to be informed. They(The mindless) think it is ok to follow him and his Ideas but yet he hold no Citizenship at all, or has no right to vote. So I ask, why his opinion matters at all other than it sells someone's else's agenda? Is that not interesting to you in any way? I find it deplorable that we allow this in America, Let me try this in North Korea. I'm sorry I do like to stay informed and yes I do listen to all side even Mrs. Arianna Huffington even though I feel that Ann Coulter should be a national hero instead of this BS that is infecting our kids minds
(CNN Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com).

Johnny, You are smart I can tell by some of the things you post. Granted I do not agree but you do have brains. Don't be a victim to irrational thinking and stupidity dude. I know how you feel about Guns, the point is that he has no right to even have an opinion that should be made public just as any other person that has no right to vote.

If Hannity, Morgan, O'Reilly, Maddow, and the like who spin, create, and interpret for people like we're 5 year olds are a source of "information" for you then good luck.

It's nothing more than entertainment.

Whoa, I just caught your Ann Coulter statement.

You're beyond help, jack. There is no bigger low rent skank.

When your heroes are on TV, there are NHL playoff games happening. Tune into those. You'll never see more effort and determination put forth by anyone than these guys. They're real people earning every dollar they make.

You know you love her and her unpopular points at times, so don't talk S about my feature Ex Wife. :boink:

As for Hockey, LA is a great Hokey town this year. Kings and the Ducks are doing well. Love that in Hockey you can get in an all out brawl and all you get is two minutes in the box, BA man! Makes for great watching.

Yeah. LA is to hockey towns what your Kardashians are to women prison guards.

Come East, son where the brawls happen in the stands and the filthy women fans throw verbiage that makes truck drivers blush.

Your buddy Ann won't last one period.

Ol'Blue who is the bleeding heart liberal you refer to?

It's hard to be a centrist in off-topic with this crowd.

About Pierce-M .. I don't listen to him or any other cable news hosts. In fact I don't watch cable news at all. I don't watch Fox, MSNBC, or CNN. I am not a fan of Pierce-M.

Those 24 hr news channels all showed their worthlessness during the Boston bombing chase (& many times before) to the point of hilarity. I think cable news is anything but news. A person could watch cable news for 6 hours a day and not know anything more that the guy who reads for 30 minutes a day. It is discussion without a thesis basically selected opinion garbage.

Since you are writing for a class which I assume is English or Poly-sci then keep an open mind. The world doesn't have to be split down party lines like it is so strongly presented in the cable news media.

I have learned so much about Politics during & post college from the books I have read, especially history books. I now believe that every political discussion should be viewed through the lense of history before choosing sides.

I am just finishing one now that is really great:

The Glory and The Dream | A History of the United States 1930-1972
The Glory and the Dream - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paperback: Glory and the Dream:Amazon:Books
Used-Hard Cover: The Glory and the Dream Vol 1 & 2:Amazon:Books

One thing I do not get however is why so many (especially Alex Jones followers) seem to be very angry about the fact that Piers Morgan has different views than them and has a pulpit.

He clearly has views shared by A LOT of Americans (not mine; i think he is a huge tool) otherwise he wouldn't be on the air. So common sense says his views are shared by Americans even if they aren't the majority or even if they are liberal.

Is the argument that anyone who sounds different than Sean Hannity should be deported?

America has a long history of dissenting opinion and protests. Freedom of speech applies to all people in the US not just those born here.

Again I say look at it through the lens of history. This is far from the first time in American history that an immigrant has spoken to a national audience with an agenda that was ... against the grain.

Piers is definitely an idiot but I think him and Chris Matthews would end up in a tie for the award. I can't watch CNN or MSNBC; it makes me angry.
