Here's a pic I snapped near sunset when my wife and I were up near the top. This was in September and we were approx 13,500 feet by my watch's altimiter

Engine ran just fine up there.

I left it in 3rd on the way down for the most part...occasionaly switched to 2nd around some of the steeper parts to minimize brake ware.
 
I knew I forgot something--shoulda had the wife clean the tires before I took the pic :bouncy2:

Thanks for the compliment on the pic.
We were one of the few people up to the peak that day, so the dust on the road was minimal. You should have seen the fine silt like dust that I found all through the tailgate seam the next morning though....

that tailgate area is just a haven/magnet for dust and silt. its a pita to clean cuz it just gets dirtier and dirtier.
